Established in 2019, ESS Fire & Electrical is a specialist fire safety and electrical contractor supporting businesses and organisations across the UK.
Based in South Yorkshire, we provide a comprehensive range of fire and electrical services—from installation and commissioning through to planned preventative maintenance, testing, compliance and remedial works.
Our services include fire alarm systems, AOV systems, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, fire risk assessments, electrical installations, EICRs, PAT testing and associated electrical remedial works.
As a BAFE-accredited, NSI-approved and Constructionline Gold member, we are committed to delivering our work safely, professionally and in accordance with recognised industry standards.
We support clients across commercial property, facilities management, education, healthcare, housing, construction, hospitality and industrial environments, providing both individual project delivery and ongoing maintenance support.

Expanding into fire safety
PElectrical Solution Services Limited was established in 2019 with a clear focus on delivering dependable, high-quality electrical services.
From the outset, the aim was simple: to build a business around good workmanship, honest communication and long-term client relationships.
As ESS grew, so did the range and scale of the projects we were able to undertake.
Our electrical services developed to include installation, testing, inspection, remedial works, emergency lighting, planned maintenance and ongoing compliance support across commercial and industrial environments.
Rather than simply completing individual projects, we increasingly became a contractor our clients could rely on for continued support.
The natural next stage in our development was fire protection.
ESS expanded its specialist capabilities to include fire alarm installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance, alongside associated life-safety systems.
This allowed us to provide a more joined-up approach to clients’ fire and electrical requirements—reducing the need to manage multiple contractors and providing one trusted point of contact.
Investing in Standards and Accreditation
Growth means very little without the standards needed to support it. ESS has continued to invest in its people, procedures and management systems, strengthening the business through recognised industry accreditations and memberships.
Constructionline Gold membership was achieved in September 2025, followed by BAFE accreditation and NSI approval in August 2026.
These achievements demonstrate our commitment to quality, competence, safety and continual improvement.
